Pushka Man

The “pushka” is the charity collection box seen in this character’s hands. Though he is “small character” the scene he is in, has extreme importance. In fact, without this man and his pushka there is no story, as it’s by Eliyah and Yosef’s “chance meeting” with him, that they make their connection to Moshe.

The Yeshiva name, “Ohr Haganuz,” (the hidden light) represents the concept of Chokhmah/Wisdom) from “beyond creation” (the level of Binah/Understanding. The Pushka Man himself is “outside the story” bringing the hidden light directly into the presence of the two characters of the left, interestingly, as they discuss their connection to Jerusalem (i.e., Malchut, see below).
